Self-Care

Work with your past every evening

Taking good care of ourselves begins with working with our past. There are several ways to do this.

  • A good way is to track your emotions. How did you feel and why? Is there a name for the emotional state or feeling? Try to comprehend your feelings. You can collect notes about your emotions which will help you concentrate on resolving the problem. You can also talk to your parents or your friends.
  • Talking to a friend or therapist can also help. We can also reflect on the things we are grateful for and remember our day, what it was like, etc.
  • On the other hand, we can draw conclusions and set short-term goals, which we can try to achieve the next day. For example, we can decide to focus on studies, and be more grateful.

Live in the present every day

In this video we are going to talk about CARPE DIEM which is about enjoying the present moment and not being consumed by your own thoughts. Furthermore, always make sure you concentrate on the positives.  This way you can stay motivated, which is optimal for being concentrated in pursuing your passions. Beside that you should give yourself some quality time by doing something that calms you down.

Here are some basic self care tips so you can appreciate the good aspects of your life.

Plan your future once a month

What really matters in your life? Lots of people have different values, but there are some, which we all share. For young people the most important are health, partner, family, friends, sport, school and finances. No one gets to be great in these areas without any effort. If you want to get better in every area you need to set a goal which you want to accomplish. Once you have a goal, you also need a plan of little steps. A very good example of an app to organise is “Life wheel” which you can download here below in your App Store.
